"Demure Lace Silhouettes" Bridal Fashion Trends as seen on The Lane by Samuelle Couture

For anyone whose style icons include the screen sirens of Hollywood’s golden age (think Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall etc) channeling an eternally chic and timeless sensibility, demure lace silhouettes offer a sleek take on such classic elegance.

Feminine and ladylike, yet thoroughly modern (without the fullness of a traditional princess cut), these streamlined gowns balance long sleeves and higher necklines with a softly spoken sensuality…think illusion bodices or deeply plunging backs. An intriguing tension at play between modesty and daring, perfect for the duality within us all.

Pair with hollywood waves for a mood of polished old world glamour, or a sleek bun with dramatic earringsfor a more contemporary juxtaposition. Avoid a traditional bouquet (with a traditional gown it may make for dated styling) choosing instead a thoroughly unexpected arrangement (think instead single specimens or a wildly cascading cluster).

"Romantic Escapism" Bridal Fashion Trends as seen on The Lane by Samuelle Couture

We are so thrilled about our latest campaign, styled and directed by The LANE, and beautifully captured by photographer Jose Villa.

Here's what The Lane had to say:

As a little-known (and in our opinion seriously underrated) design talent, we’ve been forever drawn to Sam’s collections for her dreamy textures of tulle and the subtle, unexpected tints of soft colour. Perfect for non-traditionalists (yet romantics at heart), these feminine gowns in whisper pale shades of dusky pink and barely there oyster move with cinematic effect.

With a signature style of fashion landscape fine-art like portraiture, Jose was approached as our perfect go-to person for capturing these incredible gowns in full flight. Their textures and tones artfully framed, and mirrored beautifully in the surrounding seascape.

An editorial and photography favourite, certainly…but for real brides seeking that impossible to find style of heirloom, otherworldly drama in a dress, Samuelle Couture offers a perfect non-traditional, dreamy aesthetic…with not a single meringue in sight!

ROMANCE IS IN THE AIR by Samuelle Couture

With Valentine’s Day almost upon us, love and romance is in the air. New proposals and new beginnings mean the start of planning a very special day; dreams of romantic destinations and meaningful locations begin to materialize into beautiful realities. We imagine the serenity of the Mystique resort in Santorini: white stone buildings and soft pastel doors, stairs adorned with fuchsia bougainvillea, pristine Grecian shores. It’s perfect for a luxurious destination wedding or a secluded honeymoon. In this gorgeous photo shoot with Karissa Fanning of The Lane,  photographer Lauren Ross captures the essence of Santorini’s beauty.  Before the idyllic backdrop of the Aegean sea,  visions of billowing silks and wisps of chiffon are a breath of fresh air, bringing us excitement for what’s to come.

At Samuelle Couture, we look forward to all the new collaborations in 2016, with a new campaign, website, gowns and brides. Nothing is more romantic and unique as a custom made wedding dress.
